Carole Gray-Weihman

Artist Statement:
My mission, as an artist, is to effectively apply colors in a beautiful combination to transmit the many moods of nature. I try to take an honest approach of painting the specific color relationships that I see to interpret the many light keys that nature provides. It’s what ultimately inspires me as a painter.

I am a devoted painter of what some might consider "the Color Visualist Movement" and others the "New American Impressionist Movement"- more specifically, I paint in the "Hawthorne-Hensche Principle". I've been studying under Camille Przewodek, also a former student of Henry Hensche, since July 1996. I've also been teaching these same principles since 2002 at l'Atelier aux Couleurs: the Art Academy.

Today, I continue to study under Camille as well as with Cedric & Joanette Egeli, George Strickland, Gay Faulkenberry, Skip Whitcomb, Matt Smith, Jean Perry, Ray Roberts, Peggi Kroll-Roberts, Kenn Backhaus, Joseph Mendez and John Budicin.
