Virbick has worked exclusively in fused glass art for the past six years in Denver, Colorado. Although still learning and exploring her craft, Diane's work has appeared in juried exhibits hosted by the Colorado Glass Artists Fellowship. By combining strips of colored glass with fusing and slumping techniques, extensive glass cold working and sandblasting, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces that appeal to both the visual and tactile senses. The curves and colors of her work suggest the grace and beauty of gentle movement, and the matte finish of her art, which is quite different than most other glass art, invites you to experience that movement by running your fingers over the subtle curves of each piece.
